Standard IPXX level of protection

The Ingress Protection Rating is used to describe the protection ability of an electrical equipment housing against solid particles and liquids.

This rating consists of two numbers indicating the degree of protection against solids and liquids, with the larger the better for both numbers.

IPXX

First number (dust class) :

0: unprotected .

1: Prevent the invasion of solid objects greater than 50mm.

2: Prevent the invasion of solid objects larger than 12.5mm.

3: Prevent the invasion of solid objects larger than 2.5mm.

4: Prevent the invasion of solid objects larger than 1mm .

5: Prevent the limited intrusion of dust, can not completely prevent the dust into, but the amount of dust into the equipment will not affect the normal operation.

6: Completely prevent dust from entering.

The second number (waterproof rating) :

0: No protection.

1: Prevent water droplets from falling vertically.

2: When the shell is tilted to 15 degrees, it can still prevent water droplets from invading.

3: Prevent the intrusion of water sprayed in the range of 60 degrees; Or prevent the intrusion of sprayed water.

4: Prevent splashing water intrusion.

5: prevent the intrusion of water sprayed by the nozzle; Or prevent the water from being sprayed.

6: Prevent large waves or strong jet water intrusion.

7: Soak in 1 meter deep water for 30 minutes without damage.

8: Under specific conditions, it can be soaked in deeper water for a long time (refer to the specific depth of the product description).
