and react with water scale first, thereby protecting the tank and heating elements. The electronic magnesium rod has almost no wear and tear, meaning no consumable replacement is needed throughout its lifetime.
Maintenance Cost:
Resistance Magnesium Rod: As a consumable, it needs to be replaced every two to three years, increasing the cost of use.
Electronic Magnesium Rod: Due to its almost negligible wear and tear, it does not require replacement throughout its lifetime, resulting in lower long-term use costs.
Impact on Water Quality:
Resistance Magnesium Rod: During the corrosion process, magnesium residue is generated, which may enter the hot water piping, potentially causing clogging in pipes, showers, faucets, etc., and may affect water quality.
Electronic Magnesium Rod: It produces almost no magnesium residue and has no adverse effects on water quality.
Safety:
Electronic Magnesium Rod: It typically comes with smart monitoring functions that can real-time monitor the water quality inside the water heater and immediately alert users upon detecting any abnormalities, ensuring user safety.
