When the heat pump is used in the cold region of the north, the pipe exposed to the outside may freeze, which will cause great losses to the heat pump unit and system, and it is often produced when the following problems occur at the same time:
1, the outdoor temperature for a long time close to or below 0℃;
2, the outdoor pipe does not have good insulation;
3, the system does not add antifreeze or add proportion is not enough;
4, the heat pump unit failure or unexpected power failure.
When these problems occur, the antifreeze valve can automatically open and empty the circulating water in the outdoor pipeline to prevent freezing, so as to protect the main engine, pipelines and valves and other equipment.
Matters needing attention; points for attention:
Before installing the equipment, clean the pipe thoroughly to prevent circulating impurities from affecting its performance.
1, the antifreeze valve should be installed outdoors, in the lowest part of the system in the pipeline, to prevent the heat pump is blocked. In addition, the valve should not be placed near the heat source, so as not to interfere with the operation.
2, the antifreeze valve can only be installed vertically, the water outlet faces down, the water can not be blocked, to ensure that the water is smooth.
3, the antifreeze valve must be installed on the outdoor main pipe connected to the indoor (heat pump due to power failure or failure of the pipeline is the most easily frozen place).
4, it is recommended to install an antifreeze valve in each heat pump water supply and return loop, otherwise there is still a risk of freezing in the outdoor pipeline. The system must maintain pressure at all times to ensure the normal operation of the antifreeze valve.
5. When the antifreeze valve is installed at the bottom of the heat pump unit or the heat collecting plate, it is recommended to check and clean the antifreeze valve regularly to avoid valve function failure due to blockage of the antifreeze valve.
It is also recommended to provide a proper drainage system to prevent ice from forming on the ground.
